Sabtu 9 Februari 2013 kemarin, Arsenal dengan jiwa prajurit dan kebanggaan di Stadium of Light, sukses clean-sheet 1 - 0 menunduk-frustasikan Sunderland yang sangat percaya diri bakal mengalahkan Arsenal dengan mudah (yeah rite Larsson). 

Saya tertarik untuk menulis perspektif Martin O'Neill dalam mencoba mengalahkan Arsenal. Ya memang tidak sepenuhnya tapi saya pede bilang pemikiran saya ini cuma 5-10%-nya Martin O'Neill (MO) saja *gigle*.

Agar tulisan saya lebih oke, semua tulisan ini juga sudah dibumbu-bumbui whoscored.com yang selalu apik. 

15 Menit Pertama, Lee Cattermole, kapten yang kartu kuning 

Kapten yang kartu kuning ini berarti ada "pesan" dari MO si pelatih untuk sedikit kasar. Pesan ini didasari oleh permainan kombinasi one touch, quick pass, dan counter dari Cazorla-Wilshere-Ramsey. Pesan ini berbunyi "Tolong jangan seenaknya main-main di daerah kami, tolong jangan merasa mudah untuk menang hari ini. kami sedikit kasar dan rasanya kami perlu untuk agresif". Ngerinya, permainan agresif Sunderland ini harusnya dilengkapi kartu-kartu kuning tapi ternyata wasit berkata lain. Emosi di kubu Arsenal jadi lebih dominan daripada konsentrasi teknis alhasil Jenkinson mendapat hadiah ulang tahun kartu kuning (yang bakal  jadi kartu merah nanti). Pemain-pemain agresif Sunderland pun diacungi jempol oleh MO karena menit 15-30 Arsenal hanya memiliki satu attempt yang Giroud buat.

Menit 15-30 memang Arsenal mengundurkan serangan dan ini adalah bagian dari Arsene Knows. Dimulai dari Danny Rose dan Craig Gardner yang mulai overlap, Arsenal mulai lagi dengan counter. Bau-bau gol muncul saat Ramsey mencoba spekulasi dari luar kotak penalti namun masih ditepis Mignolet. Mignolet selamatkan satu jiwa. Tapi tidak sampi 5 menit, Walcott yang tidak maruk memberikan bola empuk untuk Cazorla sontek dan gol! #oneniltothearsenal #chant

Skenario Seb Larsson, Sessegnon, dan Adam Johnson 

MO menginstruksi pemain untuk lebih agresif lagi ditandai dengan Seb Larrson sebagai sub dari Lee Cattermole, si kapten yang kartu kuning. Ada 2 hal yang jadi pikiran saya saat itu, (1) Cattermole keluar agar terhindar dari kartu kuning ke-dua, (2) saatnya membuat Birthday Boy Jenkinson dapat kartu kuning ke-dua. untuk pikiran nomor 2, saya baru ngeh saat Adam Johnson dan Sessegnon saling tukar posisi. Sessegnon yang frustasi aksi hampir-diving-man-to-man dengan Nacho tidak berhasil, sekarang beralih man-to-man dengan Jenkinson. dan berhasil. Happy Birthday Jenkinson. Oh iya, Jenkinson ini sangat panas kemarin malam. Kartu kuning pertama dia panas saat Wilshere dan Ramsey jadi bulan-bulanan Cattermole tanpa hadiah apa-apa dari wasit. Kartu kuning kedua saat dia panas apa yang Seb Larsson (di sini Seb Larsson's role) konyolkan pada Ramsey. 

...dan Sunderland beserta fans-fans lucu mulai pede bakal menang mudah... #nahanketawa

Sama seperti aksi banter membanter antar fans, AW pun membanter strategi MO yang pede dan hampir sumringah. AW pun menurunkan Diaby menggantikan Wilshere yang cedera. AW juga menurunkan Iggy dan Ramsey diplot untuk man-to-man dengan Sessegnon.

So, This is Sunderland players saw us yesterday...

Arsenal pun berhasil clean-sheet dan apresiasi yang sangat dalam buat Bac (more than 10 clearences!!!) dan Szczesny. All hail them. Bravo. Next Match, Blackburn Rovers. Jadi inget King Henry musim lalu :')
